Dear Boomer,
I really enjoy reading Bear Essential newspapers. I like all the different articles and activities.
Sincerely, C.V.
Dear C.V.,
I’m really glad that you enjoy my newspaper so much. If you like to read it, why not write for it, too!
Our free Young Reporters Workshop is Saturday, Oct. 24. Kids in grades 3 through 8 will get the scoop from professional journalists and will get the stuff they need to start writing for Bear Essential News and the Arizona Daily Star. Young Reporters even get to go on TV! Have your teacher or parent call NOW to reserve your spot.
See ya there! Boomer Bear
Dear Boomer,
How come we can’t have a Halloween party?
Your friend, S.F.
Dear S.F.,
I love Halloween and classroom parties make it even more spooktacular. Have your teacher call me toll free: 1-866-NEWS KID.
Your buddy,
Boomer Bear
Dear Boomer,
There are two boys at school who I like. They both like me, too. Who should I pick? I don’t know the right one for me. Everybody tells me to go by what my heart says. Please help!
Your friend, A.C.
Dear A.C.,
Sounds like you’ve got a popularity problem that most kids would love to have! Nobody’s perfect, but do either of them have fun and interesting things to say to you? Who enjoys doing some of the same stuff that you like?
Best of luck! Boomer Bear
Dear Boomer,
What do you think about yourself? I think you are cool and nice.
Your friend, C.K.
Dear C.K.,
You need to write to me more often—I love soakin’ in compliments like yours! Next time, you might mention my charming wit and rugged good looks, too.
You’re cool & nice, Boomer Bear
Dear Boomer,
What would you do if your school had many, many problems with the staff, students, and how it was run?
—E.I.
Dear E.I.,
That’s a tough situation, expecially with schools facing such big cuts when it comes to the money they need. You can make a difference by being part of the student council or maybe you could organize some sort of group that includes a few students, staff and parents that could come up with some solutions to your school’s problems. The more everyone gets involved, the better!
Glad you care,
Boomer Bear
