Dear Boomer Bear, My mom made this really nasty soup and I really don't like it! My mom keeps asking me how I like it, because we have it for dinner almost every night. What should I do? I don't want to hurt her feelings, but I don't want to lie.

Dear Boomer, My friend and I were bored and decided to make a gross food. We got chocolate pudding and sprinkled Fruity Pebbles on it. Then we put crushed Wheat Thins on it. We made a commercial about us fighting over the bowl of our food. We showed our parents and made them try it. It was so much fun!

Hey, C.E.! There's a traditional Chinese brunch called dim sum, where servers roll carts to your table and you pick baskets of yummy steamed dumplings and stuff. A popular dim sum dish is chicken feet! I don't care for 'em--they always get stuck in my teeth.
Two thumbs up for the other dishes! Boomer Bear
Dear Boomer Bear, What was the MOST disgusting food you ever ate?
Your friend, C.E.
C.Q., The recipes I cooked up are on this Web site. Click on Bear Covers to the left, and select Read Issue underneath the picture of me in a chef's hat (July 2009). It's the main feature. The recipes there are edible!
The glow-in-the-dark slime recipe I found online is not safe to eat. Here's where to go for it: http://chemistry.about.com/od/chemistryhowtoguide/ht/glowindarkslime.htm
Have fun and read the directions carefully! Boomer Bear
Hey, Boomer! Do you have glow-in-the-dark slime recipe? :D :):] ;l
--C.Q.
That's gross, S.G.! But if you really want to make slime, I've got a recipe on this Web site. Click on the tab on the left that says "Bear Covers." Scroll down to my July cover and click "Read Issue" below it. Then click on "Feature Stories" and scroll to the bottom for your slime factory!

Hi, Boomer! Do you have any slimy recipes?
--S.G.
Dear Boomer, I love your recipes--they are so good! They're cool, and I know you'll make more. When you do, put it in your newspapers, OK? I've got to see 'em!
Your friend, J.K.
Hey boomer! I've never tried any of your gross recipes for kids, but I'm sure they're very delicious to try!!!
From B.B.
Boomer, Those recipes are sure cool. I've tried the cup of dirt. It tastes great! I might try the breakfast barf next.
Your friend, Y.L.
Chef Boomer, I agree with G.J.--it'd be fun to send in recipes!
Friends, T.G.
Yo, C.V.! That's very nice. I didn't know how monkeys peel bananas. But do you know how an octopus peels a banana? They don't because bananas don't grow underwater!
Just monkeying around, Boomer Bear
Hi Boomer, I'm a Young Reporter for Bear. I'm working on a news article about "A Quick and Easy Way to Peel a Banana." Here's how you peel a banana like a monkey! 1. Turn the banana upside down. 2. Pinch the bottom of the banana 3. Stick your finger in it and peel down. Ta da!
Thanks, C.V.
Hey, y'all. Check out my gross recipes that you and your family can enjoy. They're as much fun to make as they are to eat. After you make something, blog my recipes topic, where you can also share your special recipes (gross or just tasty).
Your buddy, Boomer Bear
Hey PB & J! Looks like you made the classic slime. Try adding several drops of food coloring for color. Check out the July '09 feature of gross recipes and you'll find an easy recipe for "Slime U Can Slurp!"
Boomer the Boogermaker!
Check this out, Boomer! I made this slime with glue, borax and water. It was awesome and not sticky at all! You should try it.
See U, PB & J
Hey, G.J.,
Here it is! Kids can share their recipes and tell us what happened when they cooked up some of my tasty "Gross Recipes" from our July 2009 issue!
Great idea, Boomer Bear
Boomer Bear, You should have a program where kids send in recipes or a recipe to make a craft.
