Wrapping up on Saturday is All Art Arizona 2017. This art installation celebrates the diversity among all Arizona's artists. Sample work from emerging and well-known artists throughout the various featured mediums including drawing, mixed media, photography and even ceramics, plus much more. Vote for your favorite to win a Viewer's Choice award, which will be announced following the closing. The exhibit is housed at Gilbert's Art Intersection at 201 N. Gilbert Rd., Suite 201 and is open from Tuesday through the final showing on Saturday, July 15, with FREE admission from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Backyard Stargazing for Everyone

  • Where: Auditorium at Glendale Main Library, 5959 W. Brown Street, Glendale
  • When: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Cost: FREE
  • Look on up with professional stargazer Tony LaConte as he brings the universe to you.

Kicking it off, LaConte will lead a short lecture followed by discussion inside the library auditorium. After the sun goes down, weather permitting, head out front to observe the night sky with the telescopes for yourself!

City Lights Movie Nights feat. “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”

Second Friday Night Out

You're having fun when you're learning something too! Throughout the day, kids are encouraged to participate in activities which demonstrate Create Academy's one-of-a-kind approach to arts integrated education. As summer begins to wind down, families are encouraged to take a tour of the campus or chat with staff to discover the best fit for your child's education! 



Kristopher Yanez is the proud father of 1-year-old daughter Kennedy, a journalism student at Pima Community College and is also the first-ever Bear Essential News Summer Reporting Intern. When Kris is not doing school work, he is off chasing after young Kennedy.
