It’s such a big month, Educators!

Baseballs, softballs and basketballs are flying through the air. Bear Essential News’ always-popular Summer Camp editions just distributed to Phoenix and Tucson schools and libraries. For Southern Arizona, Bear is putting on its SUMMER CAMP EXPO at Golf N’ Stuff, 6503 E. Tanque Verde Rd. on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. The event is free and several of Bear’s camp advertisers will be on hand with fun activities and prizes, camp information and giving away a free week of camp. See the pages 5 and p. 30 of the Tucson Edition for details.

This edition also includes an 8-page pullout guide to this weekend’s Tucson Festival of Books from 9:30 to 5:30 on March 9 & 10 on the UofA mall. This guide focuses on the Children & Teen activities and authors/illustrators AND on the mind-blowing Science City, occupying the UofA Mall east of Cherry. Bear has its usual tent (#305)  at the entrance of the kids area between Modern Languages and the Mall.

In the Phoenix Edition, Bear’s center spread features fabulous events of the Arizona SciTech Festival, which is going on all over the state now through April. This special section includes a list of some fun-n-fabulous-n-free Signature Events. Bear Essential is a proud sponsor of the SciTech Festival. Young Reporters can choose the stories they cover or you can help make suggestions. Or kids can specialize in covering STEM-based stories as Science Reporters as we partner with the SciTech Festival.
