Did you know there are three types of formations of rocks? They are metamorphic, sedimentary and igneous. In my opinion rocks are a good thing to collect. If you are bored and looking for something to do, then you should go to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show!

Recently I went to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. This is my third year going and I love it! At the show there are rocks, minerals, jewelry and sculptures that you can see and buy from all over the world. The types I saw are agates, jades, diamonds, serpentines, jasper, opals, morganites, calcites, lapis lazuli, quartz, wolframites, howlites, fossils and sculptures.

I bought a fossil and carvings made out of fluorite, lapus lazuli, green calcite and jade. I plan on going a few more times this year. Rocks and minerals are fun and beautiful to collect, and I loved going to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show! To learn more about the gem show, check out www.tgms.org .
